QPQ:
Overall: original hook preferable to ALT1. The fair usage image is not allowed by DYK rules. I love the image but it may be best to remove. QPC is in progress and will need to be completed.
- Additional comments:
- Early life and education:
- "He also collaborated and worked closely with the architects on the project." - what project?
- "became the Superintendent at Virginia Union University." - reference states "became superintendent of the historically black college's grounds" - I would add this clarification and remove capitalization of Superintendent
- Career:
- "It is now being gentrified to create loft apartments." Reference says conversion - gentrification seems a charged word.
- "The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982" - I cannot find this in the reference link provided
- "The building became a "Negro Training center" in 1978." - reference states "The home, which in 1950 was converted into the Negro Training Center for the Blind, the only public school for blind black people in Virginia" - unclear on where 1978 comes from and the clarification of training center for the blind seems an important omission
- "In February of 1942 he was involved in the design of the Whittaker Memorial Hospital." - reference states that the two architects were associated with Russell but it is not clear to me how he was involved. Dwkaminski (talk) 17:52, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Dwkaminski: Thank you for the review and the questions. I will do my best to go through the questions later. for now I wanted to answer a couple quick ones. Regarding the photo, I am not asking a photo to be used in the hook because it is not free. However the fair use image is allowed to remain in the article. Also, I did a full review for the QPQ. I am not required to see it through to a green tick. Bruxton (talk) 02:40, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Dwkaminski: Thank you for the check on my references and for finding discrepancies and poor interpretations that I missed. I was able to go through each one and correct them- so I think it is ready now. Bruxton (talk) 04:18, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Bruxton:Thanks for the clarification on the image and QPQ as well as the updates to the article. Here is the updated review:
