- The hook: the contrast between historical accuracy and banshees is great, a very alluring hook. But the work isn't widely known (unless that's just my ignorance), so I think it might want some framing. How about
... that the Irish 14th-century Cathreim Thoirdhealbhaigh, an account of the wars of Thomond, is noted for its historical accuracy but also for its vivid description of banshees?

I worried a little about the way it's a 14th-century work, but the wars of Thomond were actually mainly in the 13th century (1194 to 1318). Perhaps it doesn't matter. - Well, I was thinking that a lot of the actual action in the book takes place around the end of the 13th and beginning of the 14th century, but 13th is probably a closer approximation. Writ Keeper ⚇♔ 15:33, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
