- Length, history and reference verified. I rewrote the hook (and the article) to be more compliant with the source cited, which doesn't say that Carr himself used the term. I prefer it greatly to ALT1, as well, lots of people get lots of awards from national leaders (cf. Presidential Medal of Freedom). It's not very unusual. - Hi, I came by to promote this and did some more editing on it. I removed the link to seaman, which is linking to a page describing a military rank. Since there is no source for this statement, I don't know if it's referring to the military or working at sea. I also added a clarification needed tag under Present Life. Please be aware that Wikipedia is timeless; someone reading this 5 years from now will think it refers to their present-day. Please use specific years. I also edited your rating on the talk page. This is a start-class article for all WikiProjects; whether or not it is of higher importance for Africa should be placed in the "importance=" parameter. - Yoninah, addressed the clarification needed issue. Anything else needed? Thanks, --Usernameunique (talk) 01:47, 4 September 2017 (UTC)
