Bourgoyen-Ossemeersen edit

Sunset in Bourgoyen-Ossemeersen

  • I have a problem with the sourcing of the hook. The source is in Dutch, which is OK, but I couldn't find any mention of cormorants (aalscholver) in that source. A Google translation of the page didn't find them either. Where are those pesky birds??? Otherwise the nomination is fine. Long enough, nominated timely, no copyvio, QPQ done. --MelanieN (talk) 22:26, 20 December 2014 (UTC)
Fixed the source, added citation, good to go. AtsmeConsult 03:51, 21 December 2014 (UTC)
Thanks MelanieN and Atsme. I think that Natuurpunt has revamped the page since I wrote the article, there were several lees meer which I followed up before, and the cormorants were mentioned in one of them. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:27, 21 December 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for the additional reference, Atsme, but I couldn't find the information in there either. It's a massive report, and I scanned through all of it (yes, really!), but the section on cormorants doesn't seem to mention seeing them at this preserve, or even in the general area (region 5). I am going to assume good faith, Cwmhiraeth, that the Natuurpunt web page used to have this information - and I certainly have no doubt that the cormorants are actually there. Good to go. --MelanieN (talk) 20:16, 21 December 2014 (UTC)
P.S. Nice picture. Too bad it doesn't show any cormorants! 0;-D --MelanieN (talk) 20:19, 21 December 2014 (UTC)
MelanieN, didn't want to leave you in a compromising sitchy-ation, so I found a link with a map just for you. Great Cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo) colonised the area with 0 tot 132 nests in 4 years. Cwmhiraeth might want to shave off a few citations so they don't outnumber the prose. AtsmeConsult 21:24, 21 December 2014 (UTC)
Yep, that's got it! It's in the "evaluation" section. Good searching. I'm changing from an "AGF" tick to a regular one. I agree that it might be best to delete citation #5. That reference is kind of daunting due to its length and non-English-ness, and as it turns out it doesn't really support the hook anyhow. But the new one does! --MelanieN (talk) 21:53, 21 December 2014 (UTC)
Thanks folks for working so hard on my behalf! Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:10, 22 December 2014 (UTC)
