Bhagavad-gita Museum edit

Created by Muhandes (talk). Self-nominated at 10:49, 9 February 2018 (UTC).

  • @Muhandes: New enough, long enough, two interesting hooks. My concern might be sourcing on ALT0 (I've never heard of the publication, though it seems to be notable within Hare Krishna), and the fact that we don't know what is being synchronized. For instance, an altered ALT0 could read as follows and make more sense: Raymie (tc) 22:07, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
ALT2: ... that when Bhagavad-gita Museum was established in 1977, a computer was specially designed to synchronize the exhibition's lighting, visual effects and 16-track sound system?
@Raymie: Thanks for the review. I stroke down ALT0, I'm OK with either ALT1 or ALT2 (to which I added a wiki link) --Muhandes (talk) 22:29, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
Then we're good to go. (AGF for ALT1) Raymie (tc) 22:45, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
Thanks. By the way, the source for ALT1 is Muster 1996, second paragraph starting with "Mukunda said". --Muhandes (talk) 15:47, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
The museum has released the images used in the article and the email was received by OTRS and the images properly tagged and can be used. Maybe something like:
"Changing Bodies" diorama
"Changing Bodies" diorama
ALT3:... that Eddie Adams took a photograph of the "Changing Bodies" exhibit (pictured) from Bhagavad-gita Museum at the Topanga Canyon against the background of the Santa Monica Mountains?
I think it adds, but I'm perfectly happy with ALT1 and ALT2 as they are, so please don't delay this DYK for this. --Muhandes (talk) 08:58, 20 February 2018 (UTC)
This would be good to use as well. Raymie (tc) 17:29, 20 February 2018 (UTC)
  • Returning from prep for further work on the hook per discussion at WT:DYK#Prep 5. Yoninah (talk) 22:01, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
  • Back again. I think ALT2 could be used with the image, as follows:
  • ALT2a: ... that when the Bhagavad-gita Museum (diorama pictured) was opened in Los Angeles in 1977, a computer was specially designed to synchronize the exhibition's lighting, visual effects, and 16-track sound system?
  • Alternately, you could say something about the dolls:
  • ALT3: ... that at the Bhagavad-gita Museum in Los Angeles, dioramas (example pictured) featuring almost life-sized dolls convey the philosophy of Krishna consciousness? I think this will be more appealing on the main page. Yoninah (talk) 00:36, 11 March 2018 (UTC)
  • I have no problem with either ALT2a or ALT3. Muhandes (talk) 01:28, 11 March 2018 (UTC)
  • Let's have a reviewer for ALT3, and then the prep promoter can decide. Pinging @Raymie: Yoninah (talk) 11:06, 11 March 2018 (UTC)
I can approve ALT3 for you. The image is licensed and shows well. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:10, 14 March 2018 (UTC)
