Australian nationality law
- ... that even though Australian citizens are no longer British subjects, they can still vote in elections and stand for parliament in the United Kingdom? Redefinition of British subject in UK law and continued Australian eligibility for voting and parliament supported in Bloom 2011 pp. 640, 654. British subject status also abolished in Australian law, supported by Stephen 2000 p. 333.

The Wikipedia Library access I have to Taylor & Francis unfortunately isn't enough to get me by the paywall, but AGF and everything here looks good. Definitely an interesting hook.
