Apsara Sakbun

  • ALT1: ... that had Cambodian swimmer Apsara Sakbun declined her invitation to the 2024 Summer Olympics, her sister would have become an Olympian instead? Source: same source ("When the Cambodian coach offered the elder Sakbun a chance to compete in the 50-meter freestyle in Paris, he referred to her record time in the event — but also let her know that if she weren’t up for it for whatever reason, he had a list of three top candidates, determined by fastest times in the event. So if it weren’t Apsara Sakbun heading to the Olympics to swim the 50-meter freestyle for Cambodia, it would have been her younger sister.")

QPQ: No - Not done
Overall: New enough (created on the 16th), long enough, and two interesting hooks, both of which are verified. Also, in doing a bit of research, it appears that Apsara has, at times, been referred to as Katarina Sakbun. I noticed this while looking over List of Cambodia records in swimming, so I made Katarina Sakbun a redirect as an alternative name. Please ping me when you have a QPQ completed @BeanieFan11:, and I'll be comfortable marking this as approved. Hey man im josh (talk) 13:14, 18 July 2024 (UTC)

Once approved, please place this nomination in the Olympics: Special occasion holding area
