Overall: Intrigued as usual and stimulated further owl reading. Thank you. Beautiful image. copyvio, character counts, expansion 5* and sources all appear ok. Can't see any obvious problems. Is it endangered? Whispyhistory (talk) 18:10, 16 April 2018 (UTC)

  • Hi, I came by to promote this, and it is a striking image, but the hook doesn't seem like lead material. Perhaps combine the two facts? Perhaps mention "barn owl" instead of "another owl species"? Yoninah (talk) 22:00, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
  • Well, the taxonomy is a bit messy, so I would prefer
  • ALT2 ... that the only place in the world where this owl (pictured) is found is an archipelago in the Indian Ocean? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:07, 4 May 2018 (UTC)
  • Can't find that this owl exists anywhere else. Article says "The Andaman masked owl is known only from the southern Andaman Islands", source says "geographic range- Andaman range". 'Owls of the world' says "confined to Andaman and Nicobar islands". Quick cross-reference [1] The Andaman Barn-owl is believed to be scarce, and reported only from South Andaman Island, and from the nearby islands of Viper, Ross, and North-, and South Cinque.. Hook says Andaman islands/Archipelago...covers Nicobar islands....so all seems correct. It appears interesting esp with image of owl which is interesting in itself. Hope this helps.
