Alice de Rivera edit

  • ... that Alice de Rivera sued the New York City Board of Education after she was barred from a specialized high school due to her gender?
    • ALT1:... that ...?

  • New enough, long enough, neutrally written, appropriately sourced. The hook is interesting, and supported by the cited sources. I cannot detect any close paraphrasing or copyright issues. One suggestion, and three nitpicky requirements. First, I think the lengthy quote does not add much value as a quote, and could perhaps be paraphrased (this isn't a requirement). Second, the article needs a well-defined lead of at least a couple of sentences; I'd suggest one sentence about what she was notable for being added to the present first sentence, and the rest being broken off as "biography". Without that, someone will make a fuss at some point over "no stubs on the main page". Third, the article doesn't actually call the high-school a specialized high school (or equivalent). Finally, and I really hate to be a curmudgeon about this, it does look like you've used this QPQ already...did you perhaps mean to link a different one? • Oops, nice catch on the last point - I've swapped that out. I've also fixed the second requirement. As to the first, I've added another sentence to the opening, but am very not keen about throwing on a Biography heading - given that the whole thing is a biography, that just seems redundant. • @Nikkimaria: It wouldn't be a big deal if it were just up to me, but if I pass it as it stands I guarantee you there will be criticism at TRM's errors page, where someone else will just stick a section title in. If you don't like "Biography", how about two sections, "Lawsuit" and "Later life", or something like that? Vanamonde (Talk) 04:03, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
  • Thanks: Good to go. It's quite an interesting topic, thanks for bringing it here. Vanamonde (Talk) 16:45, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
