Albugo candida edit

White rust on shepherd's purse
White rust on shepherd's purse
  • ... that white rust (pictured), a plant pathogen affecting the cabbage family, predisposes its host to develop downy mildew? Source: "The associations of downy mildew and white rust infection ... have long been observed." "A. candida predisposes the host tissues towards susceptibility to this pathogen."

  • Hi Cwmhiraeth, review follows: 5x expansion confirmed from 10-16 September (I am not counting the non-prose list of synonyms in the original article as text); article is of good length; article is well written and cited inline throughout to very reliable sources; one issue I had is that the Species Fungorum reference is a dead link,. I know this was inherited from the old version of the article but is there an alternative that can be used? I will not hold up the DYK on this account though; I didn't find any overly close paraphrasing from the sources used; hook fact is interesting enough and is used in the article, it checks out to reliable source; image is appropriate, suitably licensed and clear at small resolution; QPQ has been done. Looks good to me, another nice article - Dumelow (talk) 18:35, 24 September 2018 (UTC)
Thanks. I have replaced the dead reference. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:49, 24 September 2018 (UTC)
