Alaaeldin Abouelkassem edit

Alt1... that, at the 2012 Summer Olympics, Alaaeldin Abouelkassem of Egypt became the first representative of an African nation to win an Olympic fencing medal, finishing second in the men's foil event?
  • Reviewed: 1968 Summer Olympics torch relay
  • Comment: The article was created on July 31, but the prose has been expanded nearly ten-fold since then, if one considers the expansion to have begun on August 1.

  • The hook is incorrect/misleading as it stands. Does it omit the word "fencing" or is it trying to say that this was the first medal for an African at these Games? Either way it could do with further clarification. It could include a link to Fencing at the 2012 Summer Olympics. The dates are fine given the explanation above. Everything else seems fine but a second reference for the hook statement might be nice. violet/riga [talk] 22:42, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
    • Oops. I've corrected the hook to read what I meant it to and added an extra reference for the hook. As for the link to to Fencing at the 2012 Summer Olympics, I've produced an alt with what it would look like if I added that information and still stayed within the hook limit (which was tough to do without making the sentence read weird). I'm not sure that it adds much, but I'm fine with whatever you think is best. Canadian Paul 00:42, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
