Aja (song) edit

  • ... that, at "about eight minutes," "Aja" is the longest Steely Dan song?
  • ALT1:... that Steve Gadd's drum solo on Steely Dan's "Aja" was the first in the band's history?
  • ALT2:... that Steve Gadd's drum solo on Steely Dan's "Aja" was so exciting to watch that other musicians got distracted and had to rerecord some of their parts later?
  • ALT3:... that the rhythm parts for Steely Dan's "Aja" were so long and complex that each player needed three music stands to hold the charts?

  • Comment: Still working on this, but all the hooks are supported by what's already been done. I'm nominating now to get ahead of the holiday weekend here in the U.S., during which I may not be as able to work on it.

  • This is a 5X newly-expanded article. It's long enough, has many citations and is a neutral article about the song. I'm not seeing any text copyvios or close paraphrasing. All of the proposed hooks have references, but think ALT3 might catch a reader's eye the easiest and quickest. There are no images to consider and the author has already done QPQ. This would be a good candidate for GA, if the author's interested. GTG! :) We hope (talk) 22:07, 25 January 2015 (UTC)
