  • ... that agliata sauce (example pictured) originated from the times of Ancient Rome, at which time it was a peasant food that was also used by the upper-classes?

Created by Northamerica1000 (talk). Self-nominated at 13:43, 4 March 2016 (UTC).

  • Review New, long enough, timely-nominated. No copy violations or close paraphrasing. Earwig copy violation detector: Agliata gives it a clean bill. Hook supported by in line links to books. QPQ confirmed. Picture is clear, used in article and free for use. 7&6=thirteen () 14:13, 4 March 2016 (UTC)
  • ALT1 ... that agliata sauce (example pictured), which originated from ancient Roman times as a peasant food, was also used by the upper-classes?
  • Comment I think ALT1 is cleaner and is just a minor rephrase of the original. However, I leave it up to Northamerica1000. 7&6=thirteen () 14:49, 4 March 2016 (UTC)
  • ALT1 doesn't work because the source does not state that it originated as a peasant food. It states "...a sauce based on crushed garlic, typical of peasant cooking, can be found even in the recipes of the upper classes". As such, I prefer the initial hook. Comment There were two sources. But I accept your reading. Struck ALT1. 7&6=thirteen () 16:30, 4 March 2016 (UTC)
N.b. The other source makes no mention of peasant food, nor that the food originated as such. It states that the food "dates back to Ancient Rome". North America1000 16:52, 4 March 2016 (UTC)
  • I'll re-tick this even though I am the nominator, because the alt proposed above was withdrawn. Otherwise, this may sit indefinitely, because promoters may skim past this entry thinking there are issues, when there are not. North America1000 16:10, 14 March 2016 (UTC)
