1973 Kentucky Derby

edit
  • ... that Secretariat won the 1973 Kentucky Derby with a time of 1:59+25 seconds and ran the last quarter mile in 23 seconds, both Derby records?
  • ALT1:... that Secretariat finished the Kentucky Derby with a time of 1:59+25 seconds and ran the last quarter mile in 23+15 seconds, both Derby records?

  • I am currently reviewing this article for GAN, which will take a while, but in the meantime it meets DYK criteria for 5x expansion. According to the tool, nominator has only two prior DYKs so no qpq required. Approving original hook, as the horse won the race, not just "finished," prefer active voice. From 1950 to 10582 chars, is a 5x expansion, new enough, long enough, hook short enough, I've reviewed sources, stable, neutral, no apparent copyvio. GTG for DYK. Also am moving to special occasion holding area to run on June 11, 2016 Belmont Stakes day, anniversary of Secretariat's Triple Crown win. Montanabw(talk) 03:21, 24 May 2016 (UTC)
  • Did Secretariat run the last quarter mile in 23+15 seconds or 23 seconds? Please resolve this (tiny) difference in the article. Maybe this should be left off the hook to be used on MainPage. --PFHLai (talk) 08:46, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
My apologies, fixed. Disc Wheel (T + C) 13:35, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
  • Fixed and good to go. Article has also now passed GA. Montanabw(talk) 22:20, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
