FAA has published three editions so far:
- FAA-H-8083-25A, in 2008;
- FAA-H-8083-25B, in 2016;
- FAA-H-8083-25C, in 2023.
The 2023 edition was a minor revision from the 2016 edition.

When copying text directly from PHAK, to avoid violating Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain_sources, you need to include {{PD-notice}} in the ref as well. For example, {{Cite PHAK|year=2023|chapter=12|pages=22-23}} {{PD-notice}} will generate:
