Usage edit

This template should be placed on the main page of the article.

Fill in the parameters as you would for the standard citation templates such as {{cite encyclopedia}}. The difference is that this template will fill in some of the parameters for you; and if you provide volume number and page number it will automatically link to the correct page in the volumes at the internet archive web site.


Pre set parameters

Partially set parameters

|title=dictionary article title – if name is not set then it defaults to A New General Biographical Dictionary
|encyclopaedia=A New General Biographical Dictionary — if title not set then it does not display

If volume number is set

|volume=volume number – if set add the name ranges to the volume number
|url=set by volume number and page[s] number — if volume number is not set then defaults to volume 1;
                                if page or pages is not set will default to the first page of the volume. 
                                The url parameter can be overwritten with a passed in value
