This template produces citations for the schedules of NYC bus routes.

Standard usage edit

{{Cite NYC bus|<bus route>}}

For example, {{Cite NYC bus|B15}} produces the following entry in the reference list:

MTA Regional Bus Operations. "B15 bus schedule".

Multiple routes on one schedule edit

In this case, the display parameter should be used.

{{Cite NYC bus|<bus route in schedule filename>|display=<set of bus routes>}}

For example, {{Cite NYC bus|S40|display=S40/S90}} produces the following entry in the reference list:

MTA Regional Bus Operations. "S40/S90 bus schedule". The MTA file name is s040cur.pdf, so we use M34, not M16 in the first parameter.

Non-standard URLs edit

For URLs that don't follow the standard naming scheme, the url parameter can be used. In this case, the display parameter must be included and the first parameter can be omitted.

All +Select Bus Service+ schedules must be cited using the url method, as well as QM16, QM18, and QM21.

If you wish, the accessdate and effective parameters also exist, useful when citing now out-of-date schedules and schedules for discontinued routes.
