Attention editors: Pronouns

The subject of this biographical article uses singular they pronouns. This is not a grammatical error that needs correction; the Manual of Style states that we address biographical subjects with he, she or they.

Quoting from the Manual of Style on Gender Identity:

Refer to any person whose gender might be questioned with the name and gendered words (e.g. pronouns, man/woman/person, waiter/waitress/server) that reflect the person's most recent expressed self-identification as reported in the most recent reliable sources, even if it does not match what is most common in sources. This holds for any phase of the person's life, unless they have indicated a preference otherwise.

Quoting from the Manual of Style on Pronouns:

Singular they pronouns are appropriate to use in reference to a person who goes by them.

If the subject of this article has changed their requested pronouns, please cite a reliable source; for any ambiguous cases, please raise the matter on the talk page. It is not appropriate use of the talk page to argue about nonbinary pronouns in the abstract.
