Purpose edit

The template is for making external links to the Avibase ornithology taxonomy database.

Format edit

|id= - slug of Avibase page URL; if no value is entered, the template will attempt to fetch it from Wikidata
|name= - text to display; defaults to page name of no value is entered

{{avibase|id|name}}

The Avibase ID can be found in the search results for that species. (Note this is not the same as the Taxonomic Serial Number).

Example of usage edit

Get data from Wikidata edit

Use page name edit

*{{avibase|1BB50DE8362A4963}}

will be displayed as

"Avibase/doc". Avibase.
