Bat Yeor quote edit

Bat Yeor is not known as a scholar of Syriac or of the seventh century. She's an ideologue and the quote should be stricken

I am totally in agreement with the statement above. I, being myself a scholar of Syriac though i have not yet had the time to study this particular source thoroughly, must say that Bat Yeor 's place is this article is not justified in any way, until someone proves it to be, and that she is not, with out specific, concrete proof a credible source for anything referring to judaism, islam or anything connected, even remotely to these matters. I am therefore cutting out the whole passage referring to Bat Yeor. Anyone who doubts my decision should simply click the link given by her name, and think about the Eurabia-thesis, and what they think about that (before they revert, I mean).72.195.135.205 (talk) 06:45, 9 January 2015 (UTC)samuelReply

Bat Yeor is not a scholar of Syriac or of the seventh century, but much her work deals with the history of the relationship between Muslims and ancient Jews and Christians. The only argument is whether the quote provided is objective enough. I think however, we can say that the quote does provide at least some insight into the relationship between ancient Christians and Muslims in a majority Muslim area. Paragraph 4 edit

The words "as such." in quotes in the first sentence don't make much sense there, and no sources are cited. Does someone who knows a little more about this topic please interpret and fix the issue? I believe deleting the phrase "as such" would resolve this, but I don't want to remove any meaning that may originally have been intended to be there.
