https://www.insider.com/zozobra-2020-burning-gloom-away-in-the-age-of-covid-2020-9 A reference for the murder hornet cufflinks and the coronavirus hair for the 2020 Zozobra, but I have no idea how to edit the template.

Why? edit

This article does a decent job with who/what/where/when/how, but doesn't say why people burn Zozobra. Is Zozobra an effigy of someone specific? Is it just a cooler version of a bonfire? Ruakh 22:26, 20 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I've added a few sentences about why we burn Zozobra every year. I'm not sure if the "gloom papers" exist in stores anymore but I know they existed when I was younger. Hope this helps. Misspadfoot 05:56, 9 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Most people just use any piece of paper, but I think the Kiwanis still passes out the forms. Cheers, Pete Tillman (talk) 23:53, 21 March 2009 (UTC), former residentReply
Hi friends! I added the section "The Event" so as to really capture what happens here. I am a Santa Fe local and have been to many years of Zozobra myself so I wanted to make sure there was more information. I included information about the music, fire dancer performance, the crowd chanting, fireworks, food, and more. Hope you like it!ElenaRobles33 (talk) 03:20, 5 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
