Image:Follicle histology.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

...which means...?

Well, presumably zona pellucida came from a language which is not english, which means that it will have a meaning in said language. Can anyone care to elaborate, in English, what that meaning is? Thanks. Nonagonal Spider (talk) 07:20, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

I added the Latin meaning of zona pellucida, which is "transparent zone"

Technical jargon in first para?!

"The zona pellucida first appears in multilaminar primary oocytes."

Multilaminar primary oocyte is???? Need a description or a link for that technical term. Someone who doesn't know what zona pellucida is will not know what multilaminar primary oocyte is. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.111.232.2 (talk) 13:28, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

I simplified the terms in the article's introduction, and moved the technical jargon to other sections. I clarified that an oocyte is an egg cell, for example. WildlifeMama (talk) 05:32, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
