Speedy deletion discussion
editNote that this is about a piece of software, and therefore shouldn't fall under the CSD A7.
Also, I wrote this article by hand on Wikipedia, so it should fall within the GFDL license.
Also, the article now references a non-partial article with a review of us on www.moddb.com, which should hopefully meet standards for notability.
- When was this article ever tagged for CSD or copyvio? Anyway, the references should do for now; although multiple sources are generally preferred, I don't know of any notable mod sites beyond ModDB - has this mod recieved any magazine coverage too? Marasmusine (talk) 08:33, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
The first time I created this page, it was tagged as CSD and then deleted in less than 48 hours.
Also yes, this game has been featured in the most recent copy of UK PC Gamer, and is slated to go into two German gaming magazines. I have yet to receive a copy of the magazines to cite it properly, however. - frikazoyd
Cleaning up
editPlease don't add all this data on the weapons, it's not relevant in the general scope of the article; it's an encyclopedic entry, not a guide.Eik Corell (talk) 04:28, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Let's keep things like ingame jargon out of the game, i.e: The stuff about the carrier being called "whitey". This is ingame jargon, and it's not relevant if this article is to be an encyclopedic article. I'm keeping the details on how many lives the zombies start with, because that provides a big insight into the nature of the game without going into unnecessary specifics.Eik Corell (talk) 04:28, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Nonsense
editPlease don't add this "zombie kitten" crap to the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Eik Corell (talk • contribs) 17:30, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
I'll keep reverting your nonsense no matter how long you wait before you use a new proxy to vandalize the article again.Eik Corell (talk) 21:33, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
ZP:S Redirect
editJust a minor suggestion; how about having ZP:S redirecting here? It's likely the most common abbreviation. 66.191.19.217 (talk) 04:46, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
Infection rate
editA minor point, but the default infection rate of 10% can be changed by a server admin. We could either say that 10% is the default or explain that it can be adjusted. I'd prefer the former, but thought I'd mention it on the talk page. Thanks.[1] 66.191.19.217 (talk) 04:22, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
Logo and/or screenshots?
editI'm thinking the article might benefit from the ZP logo and/or some screenshots (at least one from Survivor and one from Zombie perspective). Any thoughts, ideas, concerns in that regard? Surv1v4l1st (Talk|Contribs) 23:28, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
List of weapons and items
editEdits adding such will be reverted per WP:NOTGUIDE. Listing every single weapon, and how much it weight contributes effectively nothing to the article. Eik Corell (talk) 04:19, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
Hard Core Mode
editMight want to add something about the recently introduced Hard Core mode. Surv1v4l1st (Talk|Contribs) 23:39, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- I haven't played this in a while, but I could take a look and possibly get that something going with that. Eik Corell (talk) 06:54, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
- OK, sounds good. The hard core mode changes the mechanics of the play enough that I think it warrants at least a brief mention. Information is available on the Zombie Panic site and forums. [2][3]Surv1v4l1st (Talk|Contribs) 13:45, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
ZPA
editAny reason not to add a mention of the new ZPA mode? [4] Surv1v4l1st (Talk|Contribs) 04:39, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
- FWIW, this has been discontinued as a game mode.--Surv1v4l1st ╠Talk║Contribs╣ 21:15, 24 March 2022 (UTC)
Contagion?
editContagion, the spiritual successor or ZP:S, is now out. Does it meet notability? There is a decent amount of third party coverage. Thanks.--Surv1v4l1st (Talk|Contribs) 22:06, 30 October 2013 (UTC)
Article, albeit in stub form, is now up here. Its received wide enough coverage to meet notability. I also just read it ranked #2 in PC Magazines Indie games of 2013.--Surv1v4l1st (Talk|Contribs) 03:04, 12 February 2014 (UTC)

Releases?
editThere's been a number post 2008. If anyone has detail to update, that would be great. (Not the least of which, 2.0). Thanks. --Surv1v4l1st ▌Talk|Contribs▌ 02:50, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
