Untitled edit

I would like to ask the author of this article about Zico to help me insert a photo on the Wikipedia Brazilian page of the same name. I have already improved that page with a lot of new information, but I don´t know how to put a photo there. Thank you in advance.--ArturF 12:02, 13 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

Problems with the tense edit

I think the author of this may not be a native English speaker. I'd like to change all the "he would do..." stuff to the simple past ("he did"), but perhaps it isn't as jarring to other people as it is to me. Any thoughts? Estrellador* 18:24, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)

"O Galo"- "The Cock"? why couldn't it be "the Rooster"? how unneccessary

POV issues edit

This article has quite a bit of POV problems, whether it's weasel words like "many fans consider" and opinons that aren't attributed to notable people. I would make edits, but I'm not sure where to find English language info about Zico. If anyone can source those statements or attribute opinions to experts or notable people, the article would improve a lot. Thanks in advance. Ytny 01:38, 3 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Coach at Kashima ? edit

Everything I've read indicates that Japan was his first head coaching/managerial job. He was the technical director at Kashima from when he retired and when he took the Japan job, but never the actual head coach. I've looked at the official Kashima Antlers site, his FIFA World Cup profile and the profile at his official site and they all list the technical director position, but not a coaching position.

I'm thinking that the link provided either mistranslated something or his considers advisory roles to be coaching experience. Ytny 16:51, 4 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Incredible Penalty Kick taker? edit

Would not a reference to Zico's penalty kick taking abilities be worth mentioning? Especially in relation to his miss against France in WC '86 given that he only missed a couple in his entire career. Does anybody have data to back that clain up or is it just my failing memory? Galen13 20:35, 31 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Winningeleven8.jpg edit

Image:Winningeleven8.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

International caps/goals edit

There seems to be a bit of conflict with the various figures in the article. The lede claims he made 88 appearances for Brazil and scored 66 times, the infobox says he made 88 appearances and scored 96 times (seems like a simple enough typo). However the reference (rsssf.com) says he made 72 appearances and scored 52 times. It's not clear where the discrepancy comes from, but it should be sorted out. Otherwise I guess I should change everything to the rsssf figures, since the others aren't sourced. Artie P.S. (talk) 16:14, 16 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Udinese edit

Zico was forced to return to Brazil not because "Udinese failed to win any relevant competition," but because of problems with the Italian tax authorities over income in Brazil, much like the problems Maradona had. According to a biography of his I'm too lazy to recall the name of, he actually had very little desire to go back to Brazil, but was forced to by the aforementioned tax problems and the CBF banning him from playing for the national team. Fellow Wikipedians, In attempting to verify some recent changes to the Infobox, I have noticed that a number of the external links either deadlink or no longer link to information on the Article subject. I will go through & clean these up. - Ryk72 'c.s.n.s.' 01:03, 30 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
