According to the official website, it was founded in 1906. The original name was Zavitaya. It was renamed Zavitinsk in 1954, when it was granted town status.—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); November 1, 2011; 19:12 (UTC)
