Removed sentence

I have removed this sentence:

Even though they were a Communist country, they had broken ties with the Soviet Union in the late 1940's and would not have had access to the Soviets supply.

This is essentially correct (ties with the Soviet Union were severed in 1948 and gradually restored after Stalin's death in 1953), but it's not relevant: the rifle was designed and introduced c. 1970, i.e. much later than that era. GregorB (talk) 01:58, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Actually, it is relevant because prior to 1953. Yugoslavia mostly produced weapons of German origin, never Soviet. The first weapon Yugoslavia copied from USSR was the M57 (TT33) and later PAP M59 (SKS), and the first Yuoslav copy of AK-47 was M64, so actually, work that resulted in a creation of M70 started in early 1960s.

Merge

As Товарищ mentioned above, this rifle is merely a variant of the Zastava M70 and does not justify having its own seperate (not to mention unsourced) article. I've therefore suggested it be merged. (Buttons (talk) 12:08, 29 July 2010 (UTC))
