Zack (Final Fantasy VII)

I may have missed the discussion about this one, but why was Zack (Final Fantasy VII) moved to Zack? I mean, he's not the only person in the world named Zack, and even Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII) has a specified article name. ~ Hibana 22:21, 29 September 2005 (UTC)

• _ _ For the record, the move described (not done by me) above was appropriate. This Zack (while not a person in the world, BTW) is the only real or fiction person or other thing w/ a WP article, that is called only by that given name. Therefore no Dab is needed at this time. Someone may have taken Sephiroth into account, and given Zack a Dab'g qualification bcz they had one, but that is bad reasoning.

_ _ One reason for avoiding unneeded qualifications is that users who come looking for the novel Zack, and find FF7 right in the title of the article they go to are confused and annoyed, and not likely to consider starting a stub article on it using the small amount they already know about the novel. If they went to what they asked for, and found the article in question, titled as they typed it, they will be less annoyed. And Zack can have a Top-of-Page Dab w/ a rd-lk to the novel, without such confusing language as "Zack (Final Fantasy VII) -- Zack redirects here; for the novel Zack go to Zack (novel)" .

_ _ Now, in the present case, there's a solution that may be better than putting the FF7 char's article at Zack with a ToP Dab for the novel. You can't have a Dab "article" with only one lk, but sometimes you can have one with one rd lk & one blue lk. There's already a lk to Zach intended for the novel, and the novel may be worthy of an article. I'm not about to make the decision about whether Zack (novel) is AfD-bait, but until someone else decides it is, a Dab at Zack is in order. (If and when they do, the Dab would go to Zack (disambiguation) for potential future need, and the game article back again to Zack.)

_ _ (However, even in the meantime, this Zack is presumably the only one in FF1 thru FF999, so the "VII" is overspecification.)

You are completely wrong about it being this being the only article with a person named Zack. Try: Zack Esposito, Zack Scrivner, Zack Wheat, Zack Taylor, Zack Allan, Zack Yang, Zack Greinke, Zack Werner.... ~ Hibana 19:44, 6 October 2005 (UTC)
