footpath was a metre (2 or 3 feet) too high

edit

@Gartonsmith: The "History of the property" section says "footpath was a metre (2 or 3 feet) too high". One metre is 3.3 feet, so "2 or 3 feet" seems to be too broad a range. This needs rewording, and probably the use of {{convert}}. What distance does the source say - "a metre" (unlikely, pre-metric), "2 or 3 feet", something else?
