Correct name for this article? edit
Although there are various spellings of the name, the most common one seems to be as adopted for example by the responsible management body, the Department of Water, as per their document at https://www.water.wa.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0020/3269/13636.pdf I believe also that there is no one lake called Yenyening, this is the name for the whole group, and each lake in the group then also has its own name - see especially the excellent map at that document, pages 21-22. It therefore seems to me that a move from Yenyenning Lake to Yenyening Lakes would be in order. I don't want to tread on any toes but will propose that move if there is no objection. The original designation of the article and the lead paragraph does mention the plural - and it should be there... the article could be expanded greatly, specially designating the names of the other lakes:
- Causeway Lake
- Johhnies Lake
- Ski Lake
- Racecourse Lake
- Ossigs Lake
- Mud Lake
- Rocky Lake
- Swan Lake
and at least two un-named water areas in the document map - the move is uncontroversial and obviously needed. JarrahTree 10:02, 1 October 2020 (UTC)

When I consider how much WA stuff you and a small band of others have done, I hesitate to question anything (and in fact I didn't realize it was you who started the stub until I looked at the edit history after I posted above). But... yes indeed, there's probably lots more could be added here on the basis of that Dept of Water document and a few other sources. So I'll come back to it in the future too. Hoping to actually head out to the lakes sometime soon, popping in at County Peak and Bally Bally (no article yet, hehe) along the way. Thank you again, and indeed for all your work around here! Never ever be too over awed by long term internees... about 31 years ago I was on county peak with one of my older cameras with v low pixels, need to re-visit... there is also a very important library and repository of hard to find reports in a state government office on one of the main streets of northam - as well as a wall covered in aerial photography of the whole avon catchment area JarrahTree 12:53, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
- Hehe, finally get back here. Busy few days! Well... not so much overawed as just thankful for people's persistence and focus, being a bit random myself, too many varied interests and not really very deep on any of them. Hmmmm... How cool that you an remember being on County Peak that long ago, I have to admit I had never even heard of it till this week! I will definitely get out there some time this month, want to have a bit of a poke around Beverley, and the old hall at Bally Bally on the way to County Peak looks very interesting too. As for Northam... thanks for that tip also! I likely won't get there in a hurry, but sounds like a goldmine. As for my own work on Wikipedia, I am just finishing off my new article at Enid Russell (a surprising gap when I went looking for info about her) and then hoping to spend a bit of time on Toodyay History :) Ishel99 (talk) 02:38, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
