connection to place for which it was named

Great article! Should this and other articles about South Aussie clipper ships show the connection between their names and the *place* in South Australia for which they were named? For this, it was named after the place, Yatala, as seen in the Hundred of Yatala article. Names of other clippers like The Goolwa and The Murray (mention in this source) were obviously named likewise after the places in South Australia. Donama (talk) 06:06, 12 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I enjoyed learning about these ships and their hard driving (mostly Scottish) masters. Hard part is to find a reference for source of the name. Was Torrens named for the river or one or other of the famous pioneers? I would have thought the river, by analogy with others (like The Murray) which were presumably named for topographical features, but not necessarily so.
