Yard with Lunatics was painted around the time of the French declaration of war on Spain
Not exactly. In 1794, , while Spain was allied with almost all European countries, Manuel Godoy declared war on France but France attacked first. See War of the Pyrenees. This war was quite different than the Napoleonic wars in 1807, from France over Spain. v_atekor (talk) 07:41, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
