The result of the move request was: Not moved. Please note that the Google searches are two-faced, because some hits under each string are for the opposite order. Even so it appears that the Yankees are usually listed first for the hits in Google Books and when -wikipedia is used to exclude material copied from Wikipedia. - Why is alphabetical automatically better? Shouldn't it be what the majority of reliable sources use? This has been discussed several times over the years and the current title has always been the consensus. See the archives. 72.251.70.59 (talk) 05:50, 25 May 2014 (UTC)

- Oppose WP:COMMONNAME advises to use the name commonly used by sources. The proposal to use an alphabetical order is purely arbitrary—an WP:ILIKEIT-type argument. A search of Google Books, as advised by WP:COMMONNAME, shows 1,240 hits for "yankees–red sox rivalry" and 667 hits for "red sox–yankees rivalry"—Bagumba (talk) 22:23, 26 May 2014 (UTC)

2021 Wild Card

- It’s standard practice to not include this because it is a single game and not a series of games. Including the score is very likely to confuse readers due to it being runs in an individual game rather than games in a series. Carson Wentz (talk) 19:08, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
