Citing Sources edit

@Kautilya3:, I have noticed where you took objection to citing an excerpt from a source that brings down the full and unabridged transcript of the Alaska Summit on March 18-19, 2021, of what discussions were made public. You wrote in your edit summary: "a biography page describes what the WP:THIRDPARTY sources say about the subject, not what the subject says about the others" (END QUOTE). First, there is nothing against Wikipedia policy about taking an excerpt from a transcript published by a Secondary source, and where the words of the subject appear in that transcript. After all, quotes are meant to be concise, as well as selective. If you should find instructions to the contrary, please inform.Davidbena (talk) 17:14, 7 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
