Russian sources, especially from the Soviet era, are notoriously unreliable about who invented things. An outside source is needed. DGG ( talk ) 01:22, 8 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

I've actually been looking for some, as I have independently heard of him so this caught my eye when it crossed NPP. The problem is that most sources seem to be translations of, or references to, the Soviet sources. The same seems to go for modern post-Soviet sources, due to the time-frame we're looking at. Still looking though. Probably won't make a DYK in time though, due to my schedule, which seems regrettable. Crow^Caw 01:30, 8 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
