Links to round the world and offshore races edit

This is better dealth with in the yacht racing page and should be there - this is a duplication on this page and not as balanced a viewpoint. Kert01 12:03, 1 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Not convinced edit

Not entirely convinced by a lot of this. Yachting can be a lot more closely defined that "non-commercial boating activity" and "Classes of sailing dinghies, scows and skiffs" doesn't seem to belong here. Also lots of room for expansion in the cruising section on what is a major activity worldwide.

Please help fix links edit

I moved Spiral(dinghy) (with an obvious typo in the article title) to Spiral (dinghy). I find that dozens of links link to the former title, now a redirect page. Please help fix them. Michael Hardy 21:44, 9 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

...never mind: the problem was in a template that all those pages used. I've fixed the template. Michael Hardy 21:48, 9 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sailing re-organization effort edit

Take a minute to read the comments at Talk:Sailing#Re-write effort -- non how-to et seq. Some of us a working on re-organizing the sailing-related articles. See if you agree with our approach and give us some help. Mrees1997 20:38, 29 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

History of Yachting edit

from Talk:Alexander_Robertson_and_Sons_Ltd_(Yachtbuilders)#work: Maybe we should start the History of Yachting article? With a focus on New York, Boston, Newport, Cowes, Kiel, perhaps Le Havre and obviously the River Clyde. We could use what is here and also my timeline of rating rules here.
