It was. I fixed it. Thanks for pointing that out. --DanielCD 01:16, 10 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Contradiction in article

edit

The last paragraph appears to contradict itself. I assume it's trying to explain that the depiction isn't just a sex guide, but it does have a significance in true Tantric philosophy and certain practices of the left-hand path.--Snowgrouse 13:06, 3 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sources

edit

I'm trying to find sources from buddhist (rather than sex) related sites. this is one, but I think the main problem is that tantra is restricted and naturally isn't all over the internet.. Secretlondon 00:55, 30 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

The word yab

edit

There is a demon called Yabdü and the devil's father on mountain Kangchenjunga. Does yab mean always father or in connection with yum only?

Yes, the former. See this dictionary. Another (figurative) example is the term yabshi’, which is the rank of nobles who are related to one of the Dalai Lamas.—Nat Krause(Talk!·What have I done?) 01:11, 12 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

The concepts of active and passive

edit

The article says: "The masculine form is passive, representing the compassion and skillful means (upaya) that have to be developed in order to reach enlightenment. The feminine form is active and represents wisdom (prajna), which is also necessary to enlightenment." Is there any source for that?
