Thank you for this!

Question About Yamma 1 edit

I am unsure if this organization will continue, but should Yamma 1 have it's own page ? Killa Klown (talk) 05:18, 25 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Some Stuff I Erroneously Placed On Wrong Page edit

I think this information might make a decent addition here, but would like clarification.

Yamma Pit Fighting is an MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) Organization that debuted on 4/11/2008. Yamma is run by Rope Partners formerly SEG (Semaphore Entertainment Group), known as the founder & owner of UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) prior to 2000.

The Yamma edit

When working with the UFC SEG was responsible for the design of the "Octagon". In their new incarnation they present the "Yamma", a circular cage with an inclined edge all the way around, creating the "illusion" of a bowl or a pit.

Fight Format edit

There are currently two divisions. There is the one night tournament, which pits 8 men in a single elimination tournament to see who is the best fighter and YAMMA heavyweight champion. Then there is the “Master’s Division”, which brings two legends of MMA together in the YAMMA pit to relive old rivalries or solve unanswered questions, or perhaps even start a brand new feud.

The Eight Man Tournament edit

Eight men fight in a single elmination tournament format. Each fight consists of 1-5 minute round in the quarter and semi finals and 3-5 minute rounds in the final. They follow the MMA standard rules & regulations.

Master's Division Fights edit

Each match features 2 well known figures in MMA and consists of 3-5 minute rounds. They follow the MMA standard rules & regulations.

Not an objective article edit

There is pretty clearly some anti-YAMMA sentiment being put across in this article. I myself was a big fan (a "YAMMA jamma", we called ourselves) and although I agree in the end it wasn't well-received I think some citation is needed, or at least a neutralization of the language. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Brian Last AKA YAMMAlove95 (talkcontribs) 05:49, 22 November 2012 (UTC)
