Style

In a final blow, the Yellow Emperor distracted his opponent with a trick and lunged ... and in a flash decapitated Xíng Tiān, whose head rolled all the way to the foot of the mountain and created a thunderous roar.

This is not encyclopedic style. It sounds like it's been copied from somewhere, but all other sources I could find postdate this text or are clearly copies of Wikipedia. Hairy Dude (talk) 15:25, 17 July 2016 (UTC)

Xing Tian → Xingtian – Reflecting sources and proper transliteration of Chinese. Obscure topic. Furthermore, the first main contributor who used reliable sources had this article on "Xingtian", which was later merged in the older uncited "Xing Tian" article (only because it was older). And I, the second main contributor who used reliable sources, see the same thing in the sources. Note: Article history on the current "Xingtian" needs to be retained. Cold Season (talk) 22:31, 3 April 2017 (UTC)

• Neutral I get 3460 GBooks results for "Xing Tian" + giant, and 3190 GBooks results for "Xingtian" + giant. Both are proper transliterations in my opinion. "Xing Tian" seems to be a little less ambiguous than "Xingtian" as there is Xingtian Temple (Xingtian Temple Station), Xingtian Subdistrict and Xingtian Town (zh:兴田镇), but these geographical places can also be transliterated as "Xing Tian", if less commonly.
