Just for whoever wants to take a look. I've never changed anything in wikipedia so i leave it up to somebody who has. this is xativa's flag/shield/emblem. Apart from that, there is sooooo much to be written here. Jose Ribere El Espanyoleto was from xativa, as was (in a way) The Borgia family. This is one of valencia's most important historical towns...and it's way too incomplete. [1]

I would like to comment, that it is not San Felipe de Jativa. That was a name imposed by the Borbon king hundreds of years ago, due to the resistance of this city. Since last century it has gone back to it's original name of Xativa (Jativa in franco's days). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.18.23.32 (talkcontribs) May 20, 2006

I requested the move to Xàtiva, the official name, according to es:Játiva. Support Rigadoun 18:59, 8 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Done. —Nightstallion (?) 07:49, 13 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

A lot to complete

edit

There is information on the council's website www.xativa.es that could usefully be added if someone has time. I have just added the link to the website for now. Itsmejudith 21:57, 15 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Imam al-Shatibi

edit

Xàtiva is a very interesting place. I removed "It is the Birthplace of Imam al-Shatibi, a renowned muslim scholar" because it is apparent from records that he was not born here. Rather he was born to a family who resided here before the muslim expulsion in the 1600s. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.224.221.56 (talk) 13:49, 13 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Neither Xàtiva nor Játiva has much appeal. 142.205.202.71 (talk) 21:27, 11 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
