Image request
editThe {{filmimage}} is specifically for a "picture of the set or a film poster". Normally screen-captures, actor's pictures, etc. are a last resort if the poster, DVD cover, official press release pic., etc. aren't available. If they're not available, leave a note - don't blank the page. SkierRMH 07:21, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Synopsis
editThe {{film needs synopsis}} is there because "stuck closely to..." doesn't state significant deviations. If there weren't any - should say so. SkierRMH 07:21, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
On the face of it, this is a nice point. The difficulty is that scholars disagree upon the structure Buechner intended for his play. Only fragments of it survive, with the result that there are many different versions (with greater variations than one might see of, for example, Shakespeare's works) with little agreement upon the order in which scenes should appear or indeed their content. In reality, the phrase "stuck closely to" is apt to mislead as it fails to reflect the fact that there can be no agreement as to what "the play" actually is. For that reason, I have had a go at amending the text. Informed Owl (talk) 13:22, 22 November 2007 (UTC)Informed Owl
Cast Section
editThe {{film needs cast section}} is there becuase there are only 2 names in the article (I presume there's more than 2 actors herein) and even if it doesn't have its own section, somewhere it should say what role each actor had in the film. SkierRMH 07:21, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Bruno S.?
editThe idea that Herzog cast Bruno S. in "Stroszek" (1977) because he didn't cast him in this needs to be explained. "Stroszek" (1977) was filmed two years earlier.Shemp Howard, Jr. (talk) 02:48, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- I don't have a source on hand- I think one of Herzog's DVD commentaries for Woyzeck or Stroszek. If I recall correctly, Herzog got Bruno to take a vacation from work to do Woyzeck, but then decided that Bruno was wrong for the part. Bruno was still available though, so he created Stroszek in a matter of days and shot it with Bruno. Woyzeck eventually got made later with Kinsky. Staecker (talk) 12:14, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
