Is it a wrestling promotion or a TV Show?

edit

They don't run live shows/tours and they pretape all their broadcasts months in advance of the broadcast runs. The original World of Sport slot was never a promotion, it was independently produced TV coverage of  Joint Promotions (plus All Star Wrestling and WWF towards the end.)  62.190.148.115 (talk) 16:50, 28 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

i think its a tv series. '--HHH Pedrigree (talk) 19:02, 29 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
They announced a tour yesterday, so I'm calling it a television series and occasional promotion.95.148.20.28 (talk) 08:52, 2 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Results?

edit

Why are they "not necessary" HHH Pedrigree when, by comparison, there is an entire article of Saturday Night's Main Event results? 2.28.124.67 (talk) 11:23, 30 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

yes, its true. I readee LU article and its the same. HHH Pedrigree (talk) 14:39, 30 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
OK, thanks for that. If it became an ongoing perpetual series like WWF Wrestling Challenge or WCW Worldwide then it would be impractical to have content details of every episode, but as a finite, season based show, an episode guide is reasonable. To consider other genres, it would be impractical to write on Wikipedia about every single episode of Eastenders or Coronation Street, but there are certainly articles on List of Blake's 7 episodes and List of Doctor Who episodes (1963–1989)/List of Doctor Who episodes (2005–present). If WOS ever goes into perpetual scheduling with a run that lasts for years, then my stance would change, but as things stand at the moment, individual episode content is reasonable to include. 2.28.124.67 (talk) 19:06, 30 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
I think the rating should be included. HHH Pedrigree (talk) 15:59, 02 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
Good idea - if we can find a source for them. 62.190.148.115 (talk) 16:22, 2 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
Solowrestling passed the reliable source test, so here is some data https://www.solowrestling.com/new/73081-audiencia-world-of-sports-wrestling-4-de-agosto-de-2018 --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 13:22, 6 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Tour section

edit

Am saving the tour section here for the time being. Personally I doubt the show will do any more tours and if there is any sort of Season 2, it is likely to be from footage of the six shows that went ahead. In fact, apart from some low key screenings of tour footage (possibly on ITV2) and the odd DVD release, this is most likely the end for the 21st century WoS Wrestling brand.

Hi. I removed since I think it's no notable. A lot of promotions had tours and we don't include every result for the shows. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 12:04, 27 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
Two points (1) It's likely any second series will be made up of footage of these shows, so they are fairly important as recording blocks (2) As the TV programme is on something of a dying fall, these may be the only six shows this Wikinotable promotion does which means they will be disproportionately important in its history.
I'll grant you this is all rather WP:CRYSTAL but it's still useful to have all this information typed up and ready, if not on the article then on this talkpage.2.24.71.30 (talk) 14:31, 3 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

As the promotion has now been cancelled, should we make the “Current title holders” section into past tense and remove the “number of days reign” section? Joeldelusional (talk) 22:08, 8 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Sounds good to me. When do you think should be the cut=off date for the end of all final title reigns? Romomusicfan (talk) 12:13, 20 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
13th December 2019 is the date of the article confirming cancellation. Are there any other defunct promotion pages that we can use as a style guide? 2A00:23C5:F23A:9A01:2880:2A6B:B816:5E13 (talk) 20:51, 5 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Have removed “current” section and changed the dates of the title reigns to “end of promotion”, as there is some debate as to when the programme was cancelled Joeldelusional (talk) 21:05, 5 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
