I believe the cost of the event is not the most important aspect of the World Youth Day 2011. hence, it should not be the first thing that you see when you enter the page.

If the cost is to be mentioned, it should be put in the context of a more genric "economic impact". Within this 'economic impact' section, the expected costs should be put together with the expected revenues from tourism and culture incomes. This expected revenues more than double the expected cost. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 158.169.9.14 (talk) 13:50, 11 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Benefits of Sydney 2008 edit

Benefits via tourism and commerce almost douobled costs in Sydney World Houth days 2008.

The estimated cost of staging World Youth Day in Sydney has increased to $150 million (US$137.5 million), said a briefing paper circulated to local priests by the Sydney Archdiocese. However, the paper quoted a Sydney Chamber of Commerce report that World Youth Day will deliver long-term economic benefits in excess of $230 million (US$210 million). The briefing paper was released in early March. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 158.169.9.14 (talk) 14:04, 11 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Costs mentioned at this page is misleading. referenced article is not correct. edit

The article referenced to the anti-catholic newspaper "Publico" is misleading as the 47 Mio euros costs is to be paid directly by the contributions of catholics and sponsors. The contribution from the public administrations is not in cash but via security and others costs. The right quotation can be found in another leftist radio station "http://www.cadenaser.com/sociedad/articulo/arzobispado-madrid-recurre-teletienda-online-financiar-jornada-mundial-juventud/csrcsrpor/20101001csrcsrsoc_4/Tes". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 158.169.9.14 (talk) 14:08, 11 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
