Fake photo
Photo illustration "Killing of Jews at Ivangorod" is fake. On it there are edit traces. Shadows on the soldier and on the woman fall under different angles. About this photo spoke at Russian forums much. The photo is made for the purpose of propaganda. Executions of Kiev Jews by German army mobile killing units (Einsatzgruppen) near Ivangorod Ukraine. The photo was mailed from the Eastern Front to Germany and intercepted at a Warsaw post office by a member of the Polish resistance collecting documentation on Nazi war crimes. The original print was owned by Tadeusz Mazur and Jerzy Tomaszewski and now resides in Historical Archives in Warsaw. The original German inscription on the back of the photograph reads, "Ukraine 1942, Jewish Action [operation], Ivangorod."}}

US Coast Gaurd sepearted out?
Under Militry Dead, for the US, it says "416,800(includes Merchant Marine & Coast Guard)." I understand why Merchant Marines are seprated out (their job is important, but in the end they ARE civilians) but why is the Coast Guard seperated out? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.5.217.251 (talk) 17:36, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
US Coast Guard and USMM are not included in DOD total of 405,399 war dead, despite their overwhelming contribution to the Allied victory in World War II, merchant seamen could not receive any benefits for their service until President Ronald Reagan signed a bill granting them veteran status in 1988 [1] --Woogie10w (talk) 17:47, 11 September 2012 (UTC)

US Coast Guard is not included with DOD figure of 405,399 war dead, it was under the Department of the Treasury. During World War Two it was a separate branch under the operational control of the U.S. Navy--Woogie10w (talk) 20:45, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
