Perhaps not so innoccuous

edit

I'm watching this video which mentions the World Citizenship Award in a much different context than the impression the present article gives. Perhaps we need to develop it to cover some critical perspectives? __meco (talk) 16:20, 21 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Didn't Stansilav Petrov win it too?

edit

Stanislav Petrov correctly identified a false alarm during the cold war and decided not to pass up the message of imminent attack. Don't press the big red button. Apparently he won this twice. One of the articles is off.Shtanto (talk) 13:21, 11 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

No, it is a different award by the same name. From Stanislav Petrov: "San Francisco-based Association of World Citizens gave Petrov its World Citizen Award"; see http://www.worldcitizensunited.org/ This article is about the Girl Scout award. ---— Gadget850 (Ed) talk 15:21, 11 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
Updated the reference— the link includes all the recipients through 2012 and Petrov is not listed. ---— Gadget850 (Ed) talk 09:36, 13 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

The list should be charted out like this, it would look crisper and easier to read:

award number year awarded name office representing
1 1935 Lord Baden-Powell Chief Scout of the World Chief Scout of the World
113 1976 Kenneth H. Stevens Chief Executive Commissioner, United Kingdom United Kingdom
