Airport !!! edit

I dont thing that Woodford Aerodrome can be considered an airport, it the the original home of Avro and later BAE Systems for aircraft production. Apart from some flying clubs that moved from Manchester Ringway when the second runway was built - it is used for test flying particularly of aircraft built there (currently the Nimrod MRA4 is in production) - Suggest we rename to Woodford Aerodrome MilborneOne 19:22, 11 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

It may well be. I couldn't find an site for it and the AIP is not helpful as to calling them airports, aerodromes or airfields. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 22:56, 11 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
CBW i think now you have uploaded documents that use the title Manchester Woodford Aerodrome I propose that the article should be renamed.MilborneOne 18:30, 1 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Changed my mind ! the CAA Aerodrome Licence (No P493) says name of Aerodrome WOODFORD so this article should be Woodford Aerodrome. MilborneOne 20:17, 1 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
And just to add a note to my own comment, went past this week and the BAE Systems sign at the entrance says Woodford Aerodrome.MilborneOne 20:10, 6 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Why is "(ICAO: EGCD)" struck through? edit

Why is "(ICAO: EGCD)" struck through? 31.52.252.253 (talk) 20:59, 1 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

I think somebody is trying to indicate that the airfield is closed and the code no longer used, not sure we really need to do that as it is clear it is no longer active. MilborneOne (talk) 08:43, 2 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
