John Turner, Burgh House (talk) 09:44, 1 September 2016 (UTC): The St. Helena Records, particularly related to the East India Company period[1], make many references to soldiers being made to "ride the wooden horse". This punishment is never explained. Can anyone provide any further information?Reply

Why is this in the medieval category? edit

This article is categorised under 'medieval implements of torture', but does not present any evidence of its medieval use.
