Lead You state that Coney Island hand a financial and economic decline. This seems a bit repetitive to me, but maybe you meant something distinct by each one.

"it was sold to the Vourderis family, who continues to operate" - Since the family as a unit is the object here, I would think that the singular continue would be the more grammatical form, but I may be wrong.

Infobox - The reference number parameter is not cited in either the infobox or the text; it should be cited somewhere.

Is the Eccentric Ferris Wheel Company notable? If so, leave the redlink in the article. If not, it's probably best to remove the wikilinks.

Garms ownership "the thrill of a scenic railway, the fun of a Ferris wheel, and the excitement of the Chute-the-Chutes" - I'd almost go direct quotes here, just to signify that the Chute-the-Chutes is an item known at the time of the quote, since it's a bit of headscratcher just to sling in there. If you disagree with that, that's okay.

Vourderis ownership "Vourderis stated that part of the wheel's allure had come from when he had proposed to his later-wife Lula atop the wheel almost four decades earlier, he had promised to give the wheel to his wife as a future gift" - This is ungrammatical. I'll let you chose how to fix this, but replacing the comma within a semicolon is probably the easiest way.

"and went into operation the next year." - My gut instinct would be to phrase it as "and reopened the next year" to avoid the implication that it was opening for the first time (obviously not true if the user read the rest of the article). Your editorial call here.

Rides "A ride on the Wonder Wheel costs 10 credits; the cost of each credit varies depending on how many is purchased, but generally costs $1 if purchased individually" - Just to make sure I'm reading this right, this signifies each credit costs $1?

References WP:RSP lists no consensus for the reliability of the New York Post, but the uses here seem to be reliable.

Ref #24 has "DENO'S WONDER WHEEL" is all caps. Unless the source directly stylizes it like this, it should probably not be in all caps for MOS reasons.

• Recently passed to Good Article status, and easily meets all criteria except that the nominator needs to satisfy his QPQ requirement. With that proviso, it is good to go. I think Hook No, 1 is more interesting than the others. Have tweaked it to "36 years." Originally it was "nearly four decades." I think the more precise number is preferable. Poor image

It's a pretty poor choice for the lead image to be one that does not include the characteristic inner gondolas (which presumably had been taken off for servicing when that picture was taken in the off-season). —ReadOnlyAccount (talk) 05:04, 4 February 2024 (UTC)
