"...so many of the details and characters are fictional"

This phrase appears in at least two articles on books in this series. With all due respect to anybody's faith and religious beliefs, everything in the Bible (at least in the Old Testament) is fictional. A phrase similar to "diverges from the biblical source" or "is not covered in the biblical source" would be much better.
