Improve upon the first paragraph (lead). The first paragraph is a crucial part to any Wikipedia article because it gives a brief summary of the main important topics provided in the article. If someone just needs to know some quick information on the subject, the lead should be the perfect resource to help someone acquire a brief knowledge about the topic. For this article in particular, it should mention all of the main points of the article in the lead.

Another improvement that could be made is in the use of citations. In one small paragraph about polygamy in Kenya, the same source is cited four times in a row. It is important to find wide varieties of sources but also, it is not necessary to cite the same source multiple times in a row if there is no other source mixed in. In general, the sources used are fairly outdated in the sense that when you try to visit the articles, no information will be there and it says “page not found” which makes the source unreliable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kmuthiora20 (talkcontribs) 14:36, 12 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Infobox images edit

I think that putting six different images in the infobox is a bit much - I would recommend whittling this down to just one image or leaving out the images entirely since it makes the page a bit wonky. I found File:Kenya2006- worldaidsday- donne- COSV (2).jpg, a nice, beautiful photograph of two women, but I know that this may not be representative of Kenyan women. Suggestions?
