This article still lacks basic information on several major topics, including:

  • Early Utah suffrage movement (resulted in 1870 suffrage act)
    • Connected to larger American women's movements?
    • How was it implemented or accepted in the territory?
  • Mormon support and relationship to polygamy
  • National opposition and distrust of Mormon suffrage (resulted in Edmunds-Tucker)
  • Fight to regain suffrage (came with statehood)
  • Involvement with the national suffrage movement (19th Amendment)

Currently the substantive discussion is only about how the Edmunds-Tucker Act changed things. I think that even that language is frequently unclear and focuses more on polygamy than suffrage. ——Rich jj (talk) 17:57, 20 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
